Testing & Results
Do I really need an in-home water test?
Yes. Clear water can still carry hardness minerals, iron/manganese, chlorine/chloramine, sulfur, microbes, or PFAS. Testing at your taps ensures the fix is right-sized and effective for your plumbing and flow.
What does the free test include?
On-site checks for hardness, iron/manganese, chlorine/chloramine, sulfur (H₂S), pH, turbidity, and TDS. For PFAS or other specialty targets, we coordinate certified lab testing and review results with you.
How long does testing take?
Most visits run 30–60 minutes. We collect samples, run field tests, and walk through results in plain English before outlining options.
I’m on city water—do I still need testing?
Municipal water varies by neighborhood and even time of day. Testing shows what’s reaching your faucets and whether you’d benefit from whole-home carbon, softening, RO at the kitchen, or a combo.
I have a private well—what’s different?
We assess well health (sediment, iron/sulfur, hardness, pH, turbidity) and can add microbial indicators and PFAS labs when appropriate. Many well solutions are multi-stage to address mixed issues.
Systems & Performance
Will treatment reduce my water pressure?
Not when sized correctly. We design to your home’s peak demand and verify flow/pressure at startup.
Do salt-free conditioners replace a softener?
They help reduce scale adhesion but don’t remove hardness minerals. For heavy hardness or spot-free glass, ion-exchange softening is recommended.
Can one setup fix multiple problems (e.g., chlorine + iron + odor)?
Yes. We stage systems—sediment → carbon/catalytic carbon → iron/sulfur media → softening → UV/RO as needed—based on your test results.
Is RO only for drinking water?
RO shines for drinking/cooking and can feed the fridge/ice maker. Whole-home RO is possible but usually unnecessary; we’ll advise based on goals and plumbing.
Do I need UV if I’ve never had a bacteria issue?
UV is a chemical-free barrier many well owners choose for peace of mind. If testing shows risk factors or past positives, we’ll recommend it.
What about PFAS?
We start with a certified lab test. Depending on results, we use high-capacity carbon, selective adsorptive media, and/or RO at the tap; point-of-entry (whole-home) is also an option.
Maintenance, Pricing & Scheduling
What maintenance should I expect?
Simple, scheduled changes—cartridges/media on a clear cadence, UV lamps annually, RO membranes every few years (usage and chemistry dependent). We can handle all service for you.
Do your service systems you didn’t install?
We evaluate them on a case-by-case basis. If the system’s history or parts can’t be verified, repairs often aren’t practical—but we’ll test your water, inspect the equipment, and give you straightforward advice on whether it’s worth fixing or replacing.
How fast is installation?
Most residential installs finish in a day.
Is financing available?
Yes—options subject to approval. We’ll outline plans during your quote so you can choose what fits your budget.
How much will this cost?
It depends on your water chemistry, flow, and system size. After testing, we present clear, line-item pricing with options (good/better/best) and explain what changes as you step up.
Do you offer service plans?
Yes. Maintenance plans keep protection consistent and make filter/media changes hands-off.
